Karen and Robert have spent the last three decades adding value to the iconic St. Charles Kitchen, a must-have staple of any luxury residence.

Robert Schwartz brings both his keen business acumen and instinctive design sensibility to the St. Charles of New York design studio, and it’s a combination that has served the firm extremely well. Schwartz joined St. Charles in 1982 as director of commercial and multi-housing, He led in building the New York-based offshoot of the iconic cabinetry brand to be unparalleled in custom kitchen design with a discriminating clientele both in the metro New York area and beyond.

Karen Williams designs a kitchen by keeping her passion for cooking in mind. Her own experience as an accomplished cook uniquely informs and inspires the custom kitchen designs she’s been creating for discerning clients the past 30-plus years. Williams, whose work enjoys coverage in the leading design publications such as Traditional Home and Beautiful Kitchens. She is a contributing writer on kitchen design for The Huffington Post. Prominent architects and interior designers frequently seek her out as a collaborator on their projects, and her portfolio includes everything from an English castle to a restored barn in Sag Harbor.

Schwartz and Williams have served as judges on multiple design panels, including the International Award in the Sub-Zero and Wolf Appliance Kitchen Design Contest. They have had the distinction of designing the kitchen for four past editions of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House — most recently chosen in 2012 for what’s considered the most prestigious of its ilk.

Lindsey Schwartz is the founder of CURATED by St. Charles. CURATED is a personalized decorating service that specializes in sourcing art and accessories for private clients. Lindsey grew up immersed in the design industry, but decided to build upon her art background through the creation of CURATED. Lindsey works with purveyors of the finest crystal, porcelain, and silver in the world. She holds a masters degree (honors) from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
